Rolo E-commerce Platform
Completed: February 2011
During this partnership with Bosio Inc. we worked together on the design of a new web presence for Rolo, one of the historical apparel stores in San Francisco, CA.
As a part of a larger effort to position Rolo amongst the leaders in the local fashion industry, the art direction for the Rolo.com site followed new branding guidelines developed for the occasion, allowing a consistent shopping experience that follows the consumer anywhere even after he has left the retail store.

Structurally, the largest functionality of the site is occupied by its e-commerce component. This section of the site its based on a modular structure which allows components to be turned on and off directly by the client, through the management system that powers the whole site, maximizing flexibility and allowing Rolo to update its content frequently and effortlessly.

The content strategy for the e-commerce part of the site was inspired to editorial magazines and high-end fashion blogs. Rolo’s store will be offering only an hand-picked collection of products, on a seasonal basis, assuring that only the best garments on the market are for sale on its online store.
From a design standpoint, once the art direction was established and approved by the client, the design language of the site went through numerous revisions in order to standardize components as much as possible and create intuitive interaction patterns.
